Sophie Alexander graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in geology. She has worked as a mine geologist and grade controller with Hamersley Iron and at the MacArthur River Ag-Pb-Zn mine and has also undertaken diamond exploration field work in both Australia and Canada. After moving across to geological data management and GIS services with Pasminco Ltd, Sophie then specialised in exploration and mining software development with Encom Technology (Discover). Sophie is the Product Manager for REFLEX ioGAS exploratory data analysis software.

Dave Lawie is widely regarded as the pre-eminent applied geochemist in the world, taking geochemistry from a ‘nice to have’ in exploration to a ‘must have’ in mining and production. He has been the driving force in establishing REFLEX Geochemistry (formerly ioGlobal Consulting) as the leader in applied geochemistry, and was the driving force behind the very successful REFLEX ioGAS (formerly io Analytics), QA Reporter and Domain solutions. Prior to joining REFLEX (formerly ioGlobal consulting) in 2004, Dave headed-up global geochemistry teams for a number of major mining companies.

Rob Wall studied electronics engineering at UWA in the 1980s before working for the CAA in Canberra on Satellite Communications Systems. He later managed the installation of satellite comms monitoring equipment globally when working for Inmarsat in London. He then studied applied maths and computer science and worked for several software companies before developing ioGAS since 2005, and co-founding ioAnalytics in 2008, now re-branded REFLEX ioGAS.

James Pinakis completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Western Australia in 1993. After that, he undertook a postgraduate research position at Curtin University before leaving academia to work as a software developer. He has since worked developing software in several different areas and has development experience at all levels, from embedded software to user-level applications. He joined REFLEX ioGAS as a software developer in 2008.

Putra Sadikin graduated from the University of Melbourne with a double-degree in Geomatic Engineering and Science, majoring in Earth Sciences. He then undertook further studies as an MSc student in the faculty of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne. His thesis was titled “Development of vectors to mineralization at the Prominent Hill IOCG deposit”, and was sponsored by OZ Minerals. Post graduation, he joined the ioGlobal team as a Geochemist, working as a geochemical consultant and as part of the Research and Development team for ioGAS. After ioGlobal’s acquisition by the Imdex Limited group, Putra stayed on with the company where he continues to be a part of the REFLEX ioGAS team, and as a geochemical consultant in REFLEX Geochemistry.
