A: This error message may appear when exporting an attribute map or ranked variable map from ioGAS using the Export to ESRI Geodatabase and Layer File tool. The message generally appears after a number of successful exports and will require the ioGAS program to be shut down and re-started. The error message has been observed with ESRI exports in ioGAS versions 4.4 on computers running ArcGIS versions 10.1 or later. The cause of the problem has been traced to a memory release issue within the Arc installation which manages the generation of the gdb and lyr files during the export process. We have lodged support ticket #GC1H146531 with ESRI on issues with Acrobjects crashing when running out of memory. ESRI acknowledge the problem but no longer support the Arcobjects technology on which it is based. We are working with ESRI and others to look at alternative solutions.
Workaround for ArcGIS Pro users
64-bit ArcGIS Pro version 1.3 or later supports the direct import of Google Earth KML and KMZ files. Try exporting attribute maps and ranked variables maps from ioGAS in Google Earth KMZ file format to view colour/shape/size attributes and supporting information in ArcGIS. The Export to Google Earth KMZ File tool can be found on the Attribute Map and Ranked Variable Map RHS toolbars and in the Map pull-down menu within ioGAS. Row labels such as Sample ID number can be exported with the KMZ file and viewed in ArcGIS Pro.
